The Last Battle (2025)

Fantasy life

The painting depicts the final battle between angels and demons. Christ, in triumph and surrounded by angels, defeats Satan and his servants, the demons. The work is characterized by familiar Christian iconography, yet renewed in a more modern version – the Archangel Michael strikes down Satan, while the other two archangels, Gabriel and Raphael, are represented only through symbols. The four Evangelists are portrayed as brave warriors guarding the Ark of the Covenant, an important element of the Old Testament.
