Sagitta (2021)
Tempera and acrylic colors on cardboard, 140x90cm
The Arrow (Sagitta) is one of the smallest constellations. In Hevelius’ Uranographia (1690), it appears with a fox (Vulpecula) and a goose (Anser). My painting reinterprets these symbols, placing them in a story of abuse. I wanted to tell this story in a rather symbolic way; it is a simple insight into the destructive power of relationships, into the misalignment of masculine and feminine energy, and into an inner conflict that, despite all the tension and tragedy, ultimately finds redemption.
